Keep, What is Worth Keeping

“Keep, what is worth keeping, and then, with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away.’’
(George Eliot).

God made us and this world. We, human beings are the only creature on this earth who can feel other’s pain, who can sooth them and who can bring peace and love in their life through behavior, discourse, and support. But, the very same human beings also stand on the other side, who destroy others, their peace and get jealous of someone’s glory. Keep, what is worth keeping. If the latter kind of circumstances occur from people whom we loved once, what should we do? What they had done was purely the depiction of their selves, they were telling you what’s within themselves, not what’s within you. No one is you and that is your power.

Keep, what is valuable, keep those who give you respect, keep those who love you unconditionally without any demands, keep those who are loyal and sincere with you and moreover, keep yourself first. That’s the most important thing to survive in this world. It’s okay to walk away from someone you once loved, it’s okay to forget that dream you had throughout your life, something that was meant the world to you, it’s okay because this is your life, your beliefs, your values, your own roadway, your feelings, and your heart, and you don’t need any validation from others, other than YOU. Because sometimes all the things we wanted to achieve just can’t happen in a day and that is perfectly OKAY, as life is not a competition or a race.

“Comparison is the thief of joy”.
(Theodore Roosevelt)

But, in doing so, we shouldn’t do the same to those people, as they do to us. With a breath of kindness, blow the rest away. Life is never easy and often not so fair. Thus, what’s your, will come to you sooner or later. Don’t rush, don’t give that power to someone that they’ll become dominant over you or use you for their own purposes. Pay attention to the development and betterment of your own self. Survive your worst, in order to get the best.
